Today I'm Grateful For:
*The Sun
*The ability to breathe
*Endless Possibilities
*The music that fills my room
*The ease of pain that clouded my heart

Day 6: Poetry In Motion
Music fills my room and I am elated
No longer jaded by my past
For sorrow never lasts as long as God is near
So, I will no longer fear
I will walk with my head held high
and I'll never again have to question why
Peace has now found it's new home
Searching I will no longer do
Because God The Father has brought me through
and I'm here to pass His message on to You
These words filled my heart and I just had to write and share them. I have never been a religious person, but always a believer and deeply spiritual. In letting go of a great deal of things I find my poetic muse re-awakening again and that brings me great joy.
I pray as you go through this day that you will choose one thing to let go of (stress, anger, fear, sorrow, low self-esteem). Whatever it may be just let it go and watch something bigger and beautiful grow in it's place.
I Wish You All Deep Peace & Joy

I love reading lists where people are simply thankful. They add a real, honest smile to those who read the words. I, too, am grateful for the sun. I love it, truly. I am also very thankful for the music today, especially. I am popping over from SITS roll call. Happy Friday to you.
ReplyDeleteAmen! What a gift we give ourselves when we let go of the unnecessary. Thank you, dear.

Tabitha, you are such a special person. thank you for this. I really needed to read it, and I know for sure that I have some negative things that I really need to let go of.
ReplyDeleteI am really REALLY enjoying your journey to simplicity. it's making me stop and think so often the things i'm doing and why.
I appreciate you -- and your willingness to share your journey with all of us. you've inspired me to do some of the same on my 'Round the Kitchen Table blog... so stay tuned. :)

So beautifully said. I need to think of something to let go of.
ReplyDeleteI wish you Joy today, Tabitha. I let go of some "shoulds" this morning and followed my Muse as well. She gifted me some marvelous things. Your poem is dear, as are you. Have a lovely weekend! Simplicity suits you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts and yes, letting go...there are some things that harm us far too much if we insist on holding on...wishing you much joy in your day!

I have missed you ... in my time away from the blogosphere! A lovely post ... at the end of a week in which I have found so much has "stuck to me" ...
ReplyDeletesimplicity is a cornerstone of joy. its sometimes difficult for us, who are truly vessels, to remember to empty ourselves ... release the unecessary ... and also the pain, when it is ready to leave us.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
Something else ... I read this in your sidebar:
ReplyDelete"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." -Mahatma Gandhi
How true ... that is how I found myself ... in the reflections of those I looked after ... as a mother ... and esp. as a nurse. I never thought about it quite like that until seeing those words.
Bless You, Tabby
