Counting My Blessings w/Ann Voskamp & Friends

holy experience

A few month's ago I joined Ann Voskamp's gratitude community over at A Holy Experience. I've been very mindful of the things in which I am grateful for far before joining. I have reached my 1,ooo gifts since joining, but will never stop writing nor speaking of the blessings which fall upon me. I am grateful to Mrs.Voskamp for she has been a true source of inspiration and I needed to thank her publicly from my heart. I'm honored to be apart of such a beautiful community! Every Monday I will continue with my gratitude list and hope it inspires others to be grateful for everything they have and even those things we do not have. -Tabitha

  3. Tabitha,
Isn't a gratitude practice just amazing! I began one years ago when I was not feeling particularly grateful about my life. My 24 year marriage was dissolving and the pain was great. I started with writing down 5 things each day to be grateful for. Just 5. That first day I could only come up with 3. The smell of fresh brewed coffee. The birds singing outside my window. The hugs of my children. That was it!

But each day the list grew and within 2 weeks, I felt like a different person. Seeking out our gratitude opens us up to what is right in our world, instead of focusing on what is wrong or missing. We see abundance instead of lack. It's life-changing.

I love that you always speak your gratitudes! Have a beautiful day!

  12. Gratitude practice feeds us, in ways that nothing else ever can. Your daughter is a gifted, for sure. She's got the eye of a photographer. And, a camera is a device that teaches us to see without it.
