My friend Caroline over at Whimsical Whispers asked the question: What does bliss mean to you? Y'all know I could not pass this one up! (:
Bliss is my goal in this life and I'm so dedicated to it that I'm not only seeking it spiritually, but through education as well. Because, doing this will enable me to be fully prepared to help those who come my way. Yes, I am already helping in many ways and I ADORE it. But, when I'm guiding someone I don't want to blow smoke up their butts. I truly and sincerely want to be able to guide them. (:
What does bliss mean to me:
Watching Christmas cartoons with my baby-girl on a rainy day in September (it was awesome!)
Waking up and FEELING God's presence
A hot cup of coffee, sweet music and your blogs
Watching the rain slide down my bedroom window
Being free
Laughing until I (almost) wet myself lol
Feeling strong within my soul
Preparing dinner with PC (we are always laughing)
Releasing my fears to God and knowing He has my back
Smiling as I just typed the line above (:
My prayers and thoughts go out to all of those who were affected by 9/11. I was not there, yet it changed the way I viewed things in my life. Life and those within our lives should never be taken for granted. Hug those you love often and never miss an opportunity to say I Love You.
PS..I Love You!

That, I love you? That has really made my day. Thank you for saying that to me! And, I love you, too!
ReplyDeleteYou are one of my heroes, darling Tabitha. Truly. I was just having a conversation with a dear friend who is having a hard time of it right now. He's the consummate pessimist, though, and cannot see and/or appreciate his blessings. He doesn't believe that attitude affects the situation. YOU are one of those people who proves the opposite is true. I think I'm going to blog about this topic soon. Anyway, thank you. Thank you for being a voice of positivity and light in a sometimes dark world. I love you for that!!! XO
ReplyDeleteYou are pure sweetness! Beautiful bliss list. Hugs back to you today:)
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet...so inspiring..... and your post makes me want to go watch my Christmas Cartoons too!! lol
ReplyDeleteAmen sister, Amen. Blissful post and a wonderful call out to all those we love. It's true we can never say it enough. I learned years ago to not wait until a holiday or birthday to give a gift. I give a gift when the mood hits. It is such a joyful feeling to give openly, freely and often. I know you know this as you do it every day, in your life and on your blog. Love back to you dear soul. Blessings. Love and Light, Nina P.
ReplyDeleteOh, me too! Me too!! I watch Christmas movies every July or August and then again in September. I love that!
ReplyDeleteI liked this post. Bliss... Hmmm, I'll be giving that one some thought.
ReplyDeleteI think that sometimes as moms we lose sight of what we find blissful. It must be centered around Abba Father or nothing else will satisfy. How loving He is to allow us to find bliss in this world.
Have a Blissful weekend.

That was such an awesome post. It just made my day.
ReplyDeleteKim
Wow.
ReplyDeleteI don't suppose you fancy moving to England and living with me and following me around all day saying that stuff do you??
Nah, thought not! Worth a try though!!
Happy SITS day!

Thanks for making me think what my idea of bliss is:
ReplyDelete- a cup of tea delivered to my bed by my boyfriend
- hearing my son play guitar
- my daughter laughing
- my boyfriend's very rare smile
- bright Irish sunshine after a downpour
- soul music
- taking the perfect picture
- chocolate mousse
I could go on...
Wow, I'm so glad that you're today's SITS featured blog, you're so uplifting and I really needed that this morning. I need to ponder what bliss means to me, because I'll bet I experience a lot more of it than I give myself credit for. Thank you!

Pure bliss for me is when everything goes according to plan and there are no glitches!
ReplyDeleteBliss to me is also enjoying my pets, petting them, playing with them, and sleeping with them.
Bliss to me is going out for breakfast or lunch with my husband and then maybe to a park or the zoo or playing some tennis.
Bliss to me is when teaching my Sunday School class of 5th grade boys, they actually respond and like participating in the class.
Bliss to me is going to a garden at lunch time on a beautiful summer day and reading a good book.
Bliss to me is being able to blog and read and comment on others blogs all day!
God bless you in your blissfulness!
Congrats on your SITS Day!
Finding joy in even the everyday mundane. That is bliss to me.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS feature day!

ReplyDeleteSometimes...things come into your life to help you along...I've been in a horrible place internally lately. On the surface, my life is what most people desire, but inside I am sad and blank. Thank you for your joy, happiness and inspiration. I forgot about the grateful game...one my friend and I play often...I will start with that and hopefully your inspiration and words will help this lost soul out.
ReplyDeleteOooh. "Feeling strong in my soul." Now THAT is bliss.

ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiring post. Thank you so much for CHOOSING Bliss mama! It matters what you believe!
ReplyDeleteSo what you're saying is that you choose to find bliss in the small moments, instead of waiting for...well, whatever. That's what true happiness is and I'm so glad you found it.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me. Thank you. Sending smiles. :)
