Please Uplift Me Father (My Truth)

Dear Father,

I'm not sure what has happened, but I suddenly feel as if I've been pulled into a dark vortex and I can't seem to find my way out. I'm feeling a bit insignificant, but I absolutely do not know why. I feel a little lost and under-appreciated and my heart hurts. Father, please uplift me! Please make this darkness go away! I've never experienced this before, so I am at a lost as what to do next. I'm calling on you, because I KNOW you can pull me up. I'm tired father. I feel a bit dry inside. This is not normal for me, so I truly need your help Father!

Your Faithful Daughter,

*Updated* After posting this I had a conversation with Princess Charlie and her words completely filled my soul! God used her to pull me up and I'm grateful. As I told Nina my focus was all wrong and in doing this the enemy found a way to make me feel small. I am NOT small! Have never been and will never be. What I do in my life is for God. His opinion is the ONLY one that matters! *Breathing easier now*

  1. Many of us have times we feel empty, dry, in a dark lonely place. This can be for many reasons. Changes around us, loss, giving so much of ourselves and feeling unappreciated, etc... For me, this is the time I have to be selfish. Selfish in I need to take time for me, to spend time in Nature, In mediation, in prayer, going for a drive or walk to someplace that brings me to feel the Love and Power of the Almighty. I drive to the country, a stream, pond, hilltop, mountaintop... i look out and see all the beauty, the grandeur of it all and I soak in the Grace of Creation, I cry out my discontent and allow myself to Fill with the Light and Love of God. For in God's Glory all is right, I am right, You are right, we are right... In Him, Through Him, With Him, we can not fail.... Blessings to you my friend. Love and Light, Nina P

  2. Nina, I can not thank you enough for your words. You are a sweet and kind soul. The funny thing is 15 minutes after I posted this my daughter(14) came and said something so profound and I instantly no longer felt low or loss. What I'm doing with my life was meant to be. I was given a task, because He trusts me with it and I absolutely feel lighter knowing He approves. No other opinion matters.

    *Hugs 2 You*

  3. Sending you warm thoughts, Tabitha. I know I went to bed last night feeling icky - my new job started yesterday and I'll I'm grateful for a new beginning, I'd forgotten how hard those days can be. I wanted to run and hide. My dear mother heard me through some of it, and this morning I woke up feeling better.

  5. Life is tough Tabitha and as long as you keep focused on the fact that "this too shall pass" it will be easier to get through the dark times. Well, staying on your knees praying seems to help me too.

  6. Paula: Thank you..I'm glad you could turn to your mom..That's very important. I'm very grateful I had my daughter to snap me back into line. :)

KarenD: Your words feel like angel wings pulling me to my feet. Thank You!

The Redhead Riter: Yes. Life is tough, but it is also what WE make it. I allowed negativity to steal my joy, but no longer. I am back in control and life is no longer looking tough. I say "this too shall pass" whenever I come against trials. I strongly believe in those words. :)
Thank you for reading and commenting. You are appreciated.

  8. Wandering in the desert happens to all of us. Asking for prayer is shedding light on the dark places, and suddenly we find a flashlight in our hands to show us the way out of the despair, the darkness. Sometimes it is a friend's hand that cups ours, and leads us back into the sunshine. We need each other. We need God. You are such a blessing to so many people. It is our pleasure to pray for you, and simply love on you... ((((((Tabitha)))))) Big hugzzzz to you, sista!

  11. Ah Tabby! You have found that tunnel I used to reside in. The etchings on the wall are mine. I know how it feels completely, and here is the answer I found...

Yes, there will be people that I cross paths with who will not appreciate me or what I do. But for every one of them, there are at least as many who will. I have chosen to focus on those who do get me and what I am doing.

I appreciate you in all your glory Tabby. Hugs! :)

  17. Wonderful post, Tabitha! I'm so glad your conversation with Princess Charlie gave you a new perspective on your feelings. Funny that I have felt frustrated and blocked creatively this past week and was beating myself up over it too....I also gained a different perspective and I know it will pass.
