Gifts sent to Mia Davis
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
I awoke this morning free from this uncomfortable feeling in my jaw. I'm sure it was my fault. I have an ugly habit of clenching my jaw when something doesn't set right with me. I talk about giving it to God, but in all
honesty I had not fully done that. The issue is so minute, yet I allowed it (in my mind) to snowball into World War 4. Yesterday, I read many blog posts, which seem to be speaking directly to me, so I took the hint and allowed the thoughts to be released. I am feeling lighter and joyful once again. (:
Today I'm Grateful:
*For a release
*For the delicious seafood soup hubby cooked for us
*For peace and mercy
*For a Father who knows me and still loves me
*For the inspiration I received listening to Joel yesterday
*For poetry and art (they have saved me many times)

I do the same jaw thing. Acupuncture and yoga seem to mellow me out and alleviate the jaw clenching in my sleep.
ReplyDeleteSo you're a gritter! OUCH! Do you know they make really cool mouth guards to prevent you from grinding your teeth? Your dentist can make them for you.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing isn't it, how our bodies reflect back to us what we must let go...how the negative and the unnecessary can tighten us up as if we are building a wall of resistance until we say "yes, I really am letting go"...I'm glad that you did!! ♥
ReplyDeleteI grind my teeth and sometimes I have to wear this silicon thingie to keep from loosening my poor molars...I think your method of finding out what is CAUSING the jaw clenching is a better method!!!
ReplyDeleteI too have had my bout with jaw pain/problems. Not fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your list!
Stop by and visit Ordinary Inspirations when you have a chance. My Gratitude post for this week is "An Awful Thief".
Take care,
Traci
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my list last week. I love your list! And your site. As a fellow teeth clincher, I can relate. I repeat Philippians 4:6 to myself so much that I swear it is engrained on my brain. I suppose that's not a bad thing...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to restart my Gratitude journal TONIGHT! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh honey! I am glad you are feeling better. That pain i your jaw is something to be reckoned with that is for sure - it's no fun. Your gratitude lists are always wonderful and I always identify - I especially like "for a Father who knows me and still loves me." That's a wonderful feeling isn't it?

I can soooo relate. Especially your words about visiting blogs, and having them speak straight into the heart.
ReplyDeleteThat happens to me, too, sweet Tabitha.
God bless you!
Yes... for release from burdens... amen and amen!
ReplyDeleteAnd for a GOD who still loves us, despite our true natures-- what an incredible gift!
Rejoicing with you this morning~ thanks for sharing!
As always, it is a joy to read your list. Thank you for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteGreat post as always Tabitha!
ReplyDeleteThis is so inspirational! I need to start making these kinds of lists.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm a jaw clencher too. :-P
It seems that many of us are working on God-Issues lately. I LOVE your grateful list.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day.
I clench my jaw (and grind my teeth while sleeping) when I'm stressed. It hurts, but I don't notice it until it does!
ReplyDeleteTabitha, did you notice? I'm your 200th follower! This is kismit. Did any bells or whistles sound off on your end? Congratulation to the both of us, LOL..

I used to grit - then I chewed gum. Now my shoulders tense. Somewhere I need more release! At the moment it is coming from your blog!
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS DAY!
Congratulations on your Sits Day!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's hard for us to let go and give it to God.
ReplyDeleteI gave you an award. You can pick it up on my blog.

I do the same thing with my jaw too!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to step back - in the midst of things not going your way - to make of list of things that you are thankful for! Good for you!
I've caught myself doing that when I'm working at the computer and learned to make my jaw relax. It's not a fun feeling is it? Stress is tricky and feeling gratitude daily is always a good thing to cure it:)
